When I was on holiday this Christmas I met Vera Wang.
I have seen her yearly in Barbados, but this year, we were laughing together having a blow dry in a hair salon out there as her long flowing locks took the same amount of time as my short cropped hair…so we chatted, and I was staggered to find out her age – I won’t be indiscreet and tell you, but she looks 40 something and is over 55…..amazing. An effortless dresser, and an inspiring woman to chat to who said that stress and work keep her looking great!!!
Since then, I went to the sales to buy some new china/cutlery and low and behold without even knowing, found myself buying plates from Wedgewood designed by her! Simple, chic and elegant – you have to check them out. There is also the most wonderful ‘Elements’ range – loving the salad servers for £30.00.
I have now also sourced some fabulous gifts designed by her from johnlewis.com and love the Vera Wang with love photo frames priced from £50.00 to £90.00.
If I was getting married I would yearn for a Wang designer bridal dress – her website (where she also has her own blog, Vera Unveiled) is just full of the most fairytale creations for your big day (it’s my 25th wedding anniversary this year, maybe I should renew my vows and do a whole wedding again?!!) but equally her new resort wear (pictured, left) and spring/summer 2012 range of clothing is all amazing.
